Play solitaire without internet

Spider FreeCell can keep its game pages, card artwork and code on your device. After that download completes, you can reopen the site, continue a game or start another deal without a connection. Leaderboards and submissions still need the server.

Prepare before you disconnect

1. Open the game in the browser you plan to use later.
2. Find the offline panel below the table; the game downloads automatically.
3. Wait for “Saved · ready to play offline.” A failed or interrupted download is not ready; reconnect and try again.
4. Bookmark the site. If your browser offers Install or Add to Home Screen, you can use that shortcut too.
5. Before a journey, disconnect briefly and reopen your bookmark to check this device’s saved copy.

What works offline?

• Normal games of Klondike, Spider, FreeCell and Pyramid.
• New deals, undo, redo, hints, pause, settings and local statistics.
• Official daily challenges and archives already downloaded on this device.
• Starting or finishing a downloaded daily attempt. Reconnect within seven days after its date to submit.

Downloading a new daily pack, fetching a leaderboard and submitting a win require internet. Starting a downloaded daily deal does not. A share link can be prepared offline, but your friend needs to have the game available to open it.

For daily play, also wait for “All seven daily games saved for offline play.” A new UTC date needs a new download. The app retains up to eight downloaded daily packs; ordinary procedural practice games remain available without a fresh pack.

Choose a saved rules variant

The offline download includes Spider one suit, two suits, four suits, Klondike turn one and turn three. It also includes the large-label deck and its settings. Bookmark a variant to reopen those rules directly.

Does offline mean no initial download?

No. Your browser must first download the game while connected. There is no separate app-store download, but opening an uncached site without internet cannot work. Wait for the ready message and test your bookmark before leaving.

Where did my saved game go?

Check that you opened the same site address in the same browser profile. A Home Screen installation and another browser may not share storage. Private browsing, clearing site data, device cleanup and browser storage eviction can remove saved games or the offline download.

Use Settings → Export backup to keep a copy of your progress. Importing it into another browser replaces that browser’s collection. A JSON game backup does not include the server’s guest cookie, so it does not transfer your leaderboard identity.

Updates and troubleshooting

Reconnect periodically to download updates. When Update and reload appears, the game saves before reloading; it waits if cards are being automatically finished. If a download fails, keep the connection open and use Retry offline download. Browser support for installation differs, but a bookmark can still open a saved site.
